Nearly a month after the show said that it would be returning after Hallmarksevered tieswith starLori Loughlinin the wake of her alleged involvement in the nationwidecollege admissions scandal, the series has revealed its return dates.
On Wednesday, Hallmark announced that the show will return with two all-new episodes on Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6.
In a video message from series star Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thatcher), the network also released a sneak peek of “what’s to come.”
“We can’t wait to welcome you back to Hope Valley and share more all-new stories with you,” said Krakow.

Last month, producer Brian Bird and his production team confirmed viaWCTH‘s Instagram account that the showhad not been canceledand would return with new episodes after a “retooling” hiatus.
The statement concluded with a thank you to fans for their continued support through what Bird called a “challenging transition.”

The network also said it would not be airing any past content featuring the actress.

The two actresses, along with coaches, admissions counselors, parents and Loughlin’s husband, fashion designerJ. Singer has since admitted his role as the ringleader of the scam and has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
The couple has not entered pleas; They face a maximum sentence of 20 yearsin prison. Their attorneys have not returned PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
When Calls the Heartreturns May 5 and will air a second brand-new episode on May 6 at 8 p.m. ET, both on Hallmark Channel.
