During World War II , the Army Corps of Engineers wanted to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant in case the Japanese decide to attack the West Coast . So , of class , they built a fake subdivision on its roof .
Using camouflage gauze and trompe l’oeil , they brilliantly disguised the tremendous plant as something completely benignant . Just look at these before and after pictures ! Fortunately , it all stop up being unnecessary , but what a coolheaded example of creative intellection in a time of crisis . [ call back or Thwim , Thanks , Jason ! ]
