This is some pretty exciting news for us Palm fan who ’ve been wait ( and waiting and wait ) for something new from the handset manufacturing business . It turns out Palm has hired Matias Duarte to project the UI for the next Palm OS . You probably have n’t heard of him , but he ’s the hombre behind the telling interfaces for the Sidekicks and Helio ’s phones . The approximation of give this guy wire a large install base and a touch screen to represent with is a good one . Palm ’s puzzle an acclivitous battle to take on the iPhone , but this could be how they do it . [ Engadget ]
