Last night ’s episode of Agents of SHIELD was electronic jamming - packed with pull , and huge reveals . Everybody hear at least one major thunderbolt , and we find out out who Lance Hunter ’s ex - married woman was . Plus both SHIELD and Hydra gained new ally , and the stake got massively raised . In “ A biddy in the Wolf House , ” all of the crap hits the fan at once . Simmons ’ covering gets blown — and so does that of Coulson ’s other mole inside Hydra , Bobbi Morse . Skye finds out that Coulson is the one make those strange alien carvings , and what that graphomania meant for John Garrett . Everybody finds out about Skye ’s father , and intimately finds him — and they know he has the Obelisk . And then Skye ’s dad makes some new friends .

Now that Coulson is SHIELD director , we keep hearing how he ’s commute — and we see a lot of that in last dark ’s instalment . He stonewall Skye when she endeavor to find out the truth about the writing — forcing her to go to Ward to reckon out the truth ( and perhaps tilt off Ward as well . )

And Raina demonstrate up and imperil to blow Simmons ’ binding unless Coulson lets Raina take Skye to her father — and Coulson plays hardball , refusing to give in to Raina ’s blackmail . ( Which is true , but it ’s not clear how Coulson figures that out . )

So to summarise up , Coulson spends this episode trying to keep a lid on two freestanding but related to berth : his alien writing , and Skye ’s psycho dad who has an foreign artifact ( with the same writing ) that could kill a net ton of people . Oh , and at the end of the episode , Skye of a sudden has a new possibility about the alien carving : they ’re a map . To where ? Or what ? Hard to say , but it could be a star map of some form .

Meanwhile , there are a ton of reunion and alliance in this episode :

Fitz and Simmons meet for the first time in month , right after Fitz finally seems quick to let go of the fanciful Simmons in his head , who ’s too busy checking out the awesome physique of Mack to be much use to him in any subject . Fitz has exploit so hard to agnise that Simmons is just a figment of his resource , he ’s not completely sure that she ’s real when she does show up . And for her part , Simmons is probably better off not being in any more Hydra staff meeting where they cheerfully talk about mass execution .

Bobbi Morse and her x - hubby Lance Hunter are reunited , and it does n’t alone seem to be a happy social function for Lance , who ’s been bitch about her for weeks . In her first outing , Bobbi seems like a fairly generic asskicker , who ’s secure at act to be a Hydra enforcer until it ’s time for her to take out Agent Simmons — but her past with Lance will in all likelihood go a long way towards humanizing her ( and hopefully making him more superimposed as well . ) And she ’s very , very marvellous , as seen in every shot where she ’s in the frame with the much short Simmons .

Skye ’s Dad and Whitehall , as already bring up , form a mark young team . think that there are now two fairly clear - switch off opposing sides : SHIELD has gained a duo more players of late , and now Hydra has Skye ’s probably exotic - ish Church Father .

All in all , this was a pretty entertaining episode — although it felt like a fate of plot line were getting come along so cursorily that I did n’t have metre to feel the impact of them . The “ Simmons goes hugger-mugger ” storyline , in peculiar , felt like it end with less of a bang than I was expect — but there ’s credibly another horseshoe waiting to unload . In finicky , Bobbi Morse may be a Hero of Alexandria in the comics , but on television she seems quite possibly too good to be true . Plus , it ’s not a bad thing that this show is keep a zippy gait , by any means .
