Years before her tragic death, Stefanie Sherk revealed the two women she most wanted to work with in the industry.
Sherk, the actress wife of Oscar nominee Demián Bichir, died on April 20 at the age of 43. Her death has been ruled a suicide, the L.A. County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed to PEOPLE. One of the causes of death was listed as drowning.
Sherk had several credits to her name and was looking to create a career modeled after Jessica Chastain. She revealed her aspirations in an interview on YouTube showBrunch with Bridgetin 2015.
“I would love to be onHouse of Cards. I’d desperately love to be onHouse of Cards,” Sherk said.
And when asked if she’d have a sex scene with then-star Kevin Spacey, Sherk quickly changed the tune. “No, but with Robin Wright I would. I think she’s extraordinary,” she answered.

Bichir, 55, confirmed her death ina touching Instagram poston Wednesday, explaining that Sherk — whom he called “my beloved and loving wife” — had “passed away peacefully.”
“It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain,” the Oscar nominee wrote. “Stefanie’s beautiful, angelical and talented presence will be immensely missed. We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever.”
“We thank everybody beforehand for their prayers and we respectfully ask for your understanding so we may grieve in peace and privacy in these incredibly difficult times,” Bichir added. “It is our sincerest hope that our beautiful Stefanie, my angel and love of my life, will rest in eternal peace.”
