You know what the laptop computer call for to make it just ? It does n’t need better battery living or to be scant or thin . It needs three goddamn 4 K displays strapped onto one equipment . At least that is what Razer thinks , and having play with its new concept gadget , Project Valerie , I ’ve got to say , I ’m down with having a laptop computer that ’s duncish as a brick so long as it has three 17.3 - column inch monitor progress in . That ’s a batch of pixels .
When closed the Project Valerie prototype look like a super beefy Razer Blade Pro , and has the guts to match , including a Nvidia 1080 graphics card and an Intel Kaby Lake processor , but once the laptop opens up , Razer is go for that a full - on transformer bit will happen , with two 4 K exhibit mechanically folding out from the principal display like wings issue from a Harrier jet .
Unfortunately , Project Valerie is still exists purely in the land of concept . In a closed in - door briefing , Razer let Gizmodo taste two separate units , and they ’re very cool . The 1080 graphics card had no problems powering all three 4 K monitors at once while I trifle Battlefield 1 , though the fans twirl the entire clip and the laptop got hot enough that I plausibly could have cooked an egg on it .

But the lack of a working chemical mechanism to mechanically carry the monitor , and the fact that it ’s still a concept , with no defined engagement of release or price tag , does diminish enthusiasm a niggling .
But only a little . Because holy shit guy wire . A laptop computer with 12 K resolution .
