Images revealed a mongoose - like genet hang-up - hike on the dorsum of at least two dissimilar species of animals — conduct never see in the mammal .
Zoologists have observed cowbirds sit on the backs of Bos taurus to pick off their parasite , along with egrets crop on the tiny beast that collect on wildebeest . But mammals riding on the back of other mammalian ? Not so much . At least not outdoors of humans and their domesticated animal . That ’s what makes this recent discovery so unique .

This serial of photo depict a large blemish genet on top of two individual buffalo . One of the buffalo seemed to be unimpressed with the genet and can be seen turning around and thus shaking the genet off . The other buffalo was quite content to let the genet “ tatter along ” for an evening stroll . The genet seemed to have spent this particular evening ride buffalo !
What ’s even more bizarre is that the same particular Edmund Charles Edouard Genet has a riding habit of hitch - hiking on other orotund animate being and this rhino seemed an idealistic taxi service one eve !
