Céline Dioncharmed a handful of NHL players at a recent, rare public outing.
Shortly after the pop superstar, 55, made herfirst public appearance in monthsat the 2024Grammysin early February, she also stepped out in Las Vegas to attend an Edmonton Oilers hockey game against the Vegas Golden Knights. A little over a month after the Feb. 6 game, the Canadian hockey team shared footage of the fun interaction that they shared with Dion in the locker roomon Instagram.
In the clip, the Grammy winner (who wasdiagnosed with stiff-person syndromein 2022) appeared to be in high spirits as she joked about how “exciting” it is for her to meet the athletes.
“[It’s] exciting to me — those big guys, like, just on flat shoes,” said Dion, who was dressed casually yet chic in a cream sweater dress with her hair pulled back.
“I cannot imagine on skates with all the equipment going like,” she added while humorously impersonating a hockey player on the rink.
The Oilers’ left winger Zach Hyman smiled and laughed along at the “My Heart Will Go On” singer’s impression and in the caption, the team wrote, “Celine had Hyms cracking up 😂.”
Along with the brief video, the NHL team also shared a trailer for the upcoming episode of their seriesThe Drop, which also included footage of the Canadian singer.
After shaking hands with several of the athletes, she joked, “I’ve got three boys. What do you think: I’m going to seeBeauty and the Beastevery night?”
“I think she’s a big personality. I think she kind of commanded the room,” one voice said of the hitmaker in the teaser.

Shortly after the game, footage also surfaced of the singer-songwriter’s locker room visit onsocial mediathat fans reshared. In addition to saying hello to individual players with a big smile on her face, she andher sons— René-Charles Angélil, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 13 — also appeared to pose for photos with the team.
Just several days before the Oilers game in February, Dion presented the covetedalbum of the year awardat the Grammy Awards, which ended up being awarding toTaylor Swiftfor her 2022 albumMidnights.

After the awards ceremony, a source told PEOPLE thatit was an emotional experiencefor the “I’m Alive” singer. “It was an amazing night for her. She’s doing well, and the hope is that she can continue to do more and ease back in," the insider shared.
