All the fashion back in the 90 , Qualcomm approached Apple to suggest that it might want to put a radio set in its Newton PDA . It could have led to the first ever iPhone two decades early on — but instead , Apple told Qualcomm to stick its radio receiver fleck somewhere else .
The newsworthiness come out of aCharlie Rose interviewwith Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs which aired last Nox . According to Jacobs , he approached Apple to carry them to include a radiocommunication in the PDA but was recite where to jostle it . So he took it across the Palm , which welcomed the idea with unresolved weapon system .
Of course , Palm failed to capitalize on the deal : it turned the applied science into the Qualcomm PDQ , which is so obscure it does n’t even have a Wikipedia entrance . In fact , it could be seems as a precursor to the smartphone . Kinda . At least , it had a specially plan mobile operating arrangement along with cellular connectivity .

Still , 25 long time down the line Palm does n’t subsist and Apple leads the smartphone market . So maybe it was n’t the worst conclusion , all things considered . [ Charlie RoseviaVentureBeat ]
