Here ’s our first aspect at major Modern characters , returning favorite , and hints of what ’s to come in the next young chapter in the galaxy far , far forth .

According to John Boyega , Finn is looking to find his place in the Resistance now he ’s desolate the First Order . And he ’s “ ready to campaign ! ”
We ’ve got our first facial expression at Luke Skywalker in the new film . Mark Hamill would n’t reveal much about what Luke is up to in this film , aside from the fact that everybody pass The Force Awakens obsessed with him . bBt he did talk about how much he ’s loved trolling his Twitter interview with fake plunderer and steer . Daisy Ridley , however , did tease that Rey ’s encounter with Luke would be a bite of a “ never meet your submarine ” moment , hinting that there ’s go bad to be some tensity between the Jedi Master and his new apprentice .
Update : Speaking of Rey , we also got two beautiful new shots of her on a very rainy Ahch - to . She ’s got a slightly new costume here , mainly in the form of a newfangled poncho / cape over her getup from the terminal of The Force Awakens , which I ’m urgently hoping is going to be an action figure I can buy at some point .
Ridley involve to the stage and — despite Josh Gad ’s repeated question — still would n’t confirm if Rey has links to the Skywalker or Kenobi families in her history . However , she did loosen that we would definitely be getting more of Rey ’s backstory in the new photographic film .
