For example , the final battle between Shinzon and Picard is n’t epic . It ’s slow . Slow enough that none of the action count cool , it looks sad . There ’s so much fourth dimension between the heartbeat that you ca n’t trust no one ’s dodging anything . For case , Shinzon should never have been make by this tobacco pipe ; it guide Picard a diminished shabu years to pull it down , Shinzon had mass of sentence to get out of the way .
For fans , Nemesis is even bad . The idea of the Romulans take in a sister race would be more interesting if Star Trek had n’t been doing it for decades . The Romulans are already link up to Vulcans . We did n’t need to tote up another race to this story , specially one as on the nozzle as the “ Remans . ”
Similarly , the addition of B-4 , a Data epitome , did not help . A golem that looks like Data was another plot the show had done before and better . And the fact that no one in the movie brought up those previous Data dopplegangers was a flagrant omission .
And this film was the second celluloid to feature the Troi manoeuvre , i.e. crash the endeavor with the counselor-at-law at the helm .
Finally , this is a moving picture that made me enquire where Wesley was . I do n’t ever desire to have that persuasion again .
Nemesis has aged abominably . Its boxful authority nonstarter made it a enfranchisement killer whale back in 2002 , but its narration failures make it a never - ending rootage of disappointment .
