A Giant Oarfish, The Sea Serpent Of Yore, Washes Up In Sweden

A specimen of the 11 - metrical foot - long gargantuan king of the herring – the world ’s longest bony fish – was found yesterday in Bovallstrand , Sweden . The Pisces the Fishes , also known as the “ king of herring , ” has n’t been seen in Sweden in the last 130 years .

On May 11 , a giant oarfish ( Regalecus glesne ) was discovered on Sweden ’s westerly slide in the small town of Bovallstrand .
